Seems to be an electronic issue because it throws a crankshaft position sensor code after sitting for a few days. It may be related to moisture because of all of the rain that we have been getting lately. It has thrown a camshaft position sensor code also. The truck only runs rough on the first startup of the day, for the entire 6 mile trip into work. It always runs normal on the way home. If the truck is driven every day it never runs badly or throws codes, but if it sits for 2-3 days it will run bad and throw a code. This is an 06 f250 that my co-worker owns. What are some things we should start to look at? It seems to be happening more frequently. What could be getting moisture in it and causing it to run this way? The symptoms showed up about a month ago. The truck is tuned with an SCT X4, running canned tunes, but exhibits symptoms on stock tune as well.
