I've ran one for about 140,000 miles. About 7 years. I normally run the tow setting. It is custom tunable I've just never bought one for it. My cousin has an older Edge Evo and my brother has a Superchip and the SCT takes less than half the time to switch programs. You can also change your transmission pressures and shiftpoints (I believe) at WOT.
Things to ask before buying are is it VIN locked and how many unlocks left. If you want to swap it between trucks it requires hooking it up to a computer and resetting it. It's very easy to do but you can only do it 6 times or so before you have to send it to SCT and have more unlocks put on it.
Oh yeah, my truck is a late 99 ECLB, 2wd, ZF6, 4.10s, and now has a 38R. I closed down the wastegate on the 38R and can hit 27lbs of boost with the TOW setting.

It was on a forgot focus. It is unlocked. Idk were to get the custom tunes though
