Ok, I've been trying to find info on this since I got my truck about 2 months ago...please someone help me? It's an early 99 F250 with a working odometer and a non-working speedometer. The sensor in the rear axle is new. I'm told there's another sensor that feeds the speedometer but I'm not being told which one...can SOMEONE please help me?

Check the wiring from the VSS (the one in the rear diff) forward. Betcha' you find something wrong.

Do you have four wheel ABS or rear ABS only. If you have four wheel ABS, the front ABS also deal with speedo.

I'll do it tomorrow! But doesn't the odometer get it's feed from the same wiring? Not being a smart ass, really just asking. Thank you SO MUCH for your input!

Thanks man. I'm trying to get my buddy to find out, he's a Ford diesel tech, but he hasn't came through yet.

Problem with Ford Diesel Techs. Unless they have been one for a long time, it like taking a 72 Chevy Malibu with a 350 to a dealer. As simple as it is, they just don't have a clue.

You gotta remember, your truck is now 16 years old. You can almost put classic tags on it.
