my brothers girlfriend was drivin the truck when it went out. she's been around semi trucks for a long time. she new it wasn't right and said she didn't hear anything specific.. just felt like no power and lots of white smoke.. and pulled into a parking lot real quick and saw the oil flowing out the exhaust... at first when i saw it i just figured it blew the seal and then smoked the bearings... took the intake off and checked the shaft play... pulled it in and out a bit and could hit the compressor housing.. said *** it, better load it on the trailer... pulled the turbo off today and wanted to see how bad the bearings where cuz i thought i could maybe put a rebuild kit in it... pulled the comp housing off and grabbed the wheel and then the turbine and they spun in opposite directions... said HOLY HELL WTF! so i pulled a little bit and the wheel and shaft popped right out so i tore it apart.. bearings are nice and tight...
