stock turbo question

my buddy just put in new turbo pedestal o rings in he look on the back side of the compressure housing and said 1.00a/r it dose not make since i thought the stock turbo was .84 or .88 a/r so did ford put a bigger exhaust housing in some years

The compressor housing is 1.00 A/R. The exhaust housing is .84 A/R On JUST the SD Pickups. Years 99-03.

The OBS ones had a 1.10 A/R compressor housing and a 1.15 A/R Exhaust housing. Years 94.5 to 97.
