I finally got around to doing my sump. I used a beans dies,-8 and -6an fittings from summit and pushlok hose.
For a filter setup I used a strictly diesel housing and bracket.
It went super smooth. I was even able to do the har poon mod.
The skid fits just find with a little spacing
I bought some square stock and cut it into spacers.

Nice I had a blue beans diesel sump on my 7.3 One worry I had was scrapping the sump when going offroad and taking out my AD fuel line. LOL

The factory skid fits perfectly. Get longer 8x1.25 bolts about 5mm long.some washers or square tube. About .75"drop and all is good
The line is just as protected as stock.during deer season I go down some seriously nasty roads and my skid plate is free of damage
