testing 42 pin connector, ohm

Long story short, i keep getting an intermittent connection which is causing the IDM to shut down the drivers side bank of injectors. It all started when the insulation basically fell off of the wires going from the engine side plug into the valve cover harness. I cut back all the old wiring and put in a new connector.

Ever since then it'll happen specifically when working it hard, IE towing a trailer etc. Im tired of having to pull over and shake the harness and starting it back up/off to get it to make a connection again. Does anyone have the ohm readings/pinout schematic? Planning on testing from the 42 pin connector to the male valve cover connector/

Tell me you didn't just butt end the wires on the new connector?

oops...was in a pinch And not too good with a soldering iron. Think that's the issue? Butt connectors causing a drop in voltage etc?
