Took off this morning pulling a 26ft GN, with a 45hp compact tractor/loader, 4 wheeler and a pallet that weighs about 2000lbs. Truck can't hold speed in overdrive or with cruise on.

Recently the edge programmer took a dump along with the ficm. Has new fuel filters. Is this to be expected running in stock configuration? Driving me nuts and only getting 170mile on a tank of fuel...

Ive always ran napa fuel filters with no problems. Run a motorcraft oil filter though.

I would be extremily carefull with going aftermarket on the filters, I would change ASAP to Motorcraft ones, aftermarket have been known to be to short to close the bypass valve at the bottom and not filter the fuel. Might be your issue if its not allowing enough to your injectors, you dont know your fuel press do you?

Napa filters are Wix filters. I had a buddy that had a 6.0 and if I remember from him, it was Wix filters that were causing the problems. Even had another buddy that had his break down get towed to the dealer just to have them put in a factory filter and be good to go. Not saying it is the problem though.

I'm having the same issue except mine will hold speed. I was pulling a 28ft GN this weekend with a john Deere 5525 with a loader on it and I only probably went a max of 70 miles and burned 3/4 of a tank of fuel. wtf is going on. I was running the extreme x tune but I didn't beat on it at all.
