01 F-350. Drove the truck in the garage and was trying to diagnose a hot start problem. Next day won't start. Now only #1 injector buzzes on a buzz test. Swapped out IDM with one laying around and same thing. Figured maybe I'd ohm some wiring, just seems odd that only one buzzes. Anyone have some suggestions where to start? Thanks guys

unplug the 42 pin connector on the driver side valve cover. Inspect it and shoot some contact cleaner in there. Do the same thing with the IDM connector.

Sounds like a uvch issue. If #1 is buzzing and you changed the idm(no difference) then the other three on that bank should buzz as well. Vref is the same for all four on the left bank with a different but common Vref for the other four on the right bank.

Not sure if you tested at the uvch's or the 42-pin but try using a 200ohm scale meter and ohm out each injector to the correct vref for the corresponding bank.(sorry don't have the pins/pic handy)

Ok, still doing it. I ohm'd from supply through to each injector as mentioned. All around 3ohm. Still not buzzing but just sounds like one single injector. What now?
