Turbo question

I pulled my filter and took a look at my turbo and saw this, there next to no play, I feel a bit of resistance but I'm sure it needs to be cleaned bad, just wondering if all this oil is normal

That could be from the CCV oil vapors. Otherwise it may be a good idea to have the turbo rebuilt.

Ok, Just checking i haven't done the CCV upgrade yet, is that something highly recommended?

Helps prevent the original IC and turbo boots from blowing off. Seems as the oil soaks in weakening the material causing issues down the road. CCV mod helps keep the oil out of the IC as well.

ah ok yea ive seen oil in the IC tubes before and was curious but never thought to much into it.
