alright i have a new icp in idling the specs are 710psi also like 712psi desired and ipr is at a 26% so starts awesome when cold runs liek crap if tried to be driven. uhhhh takes about 4-6 cranks when warm to start. if i turn it off n try to start a few mins later starts right up. any ideas? its a 2003 6.0 egr deleted new icp w/ pigtail. batmo wheel new oilcooler. n last oil change was a few weeks ago. also kinda hiccups when iding when i give it some throttle while idling n rpms go back to normal it runs rough then comes back to normal

definitely sounds HPOil related...but it may or may not be the pump itself...could be anything in the HPOil system....including the pump, IPR, STC fitting, branch tube(s), stand pipe(s), any one of a number of o-rings pertaining to the HPOil system, or even the injector (spool valves) themselves...

there isn't any way to isolate which of these is leaking without a LOT of diagnostics by an experienced mechanic...as a problem with any one of the above listed components will cause the lack of ICP pressure when hot...the fact that it starts fine cold means that the pump itself is most likely not the issue...and that it's a leak somewhere else in the system.

I just put a new icp and pigtail on mine last night... I thought it was good to go, drove to work this morning and it shut off on me... started back up, very vough idle, no throttle response, I shut it down and waited a few minutes, and it started and ran fine after that.... I hope it was just something that needed worked out of the system. I am subscribing and hoping mine runs fine when I head home.

I would try the an updated STC fitting and replace the dummy plugs. Put it back together and go from there. Definately cheaper then a new HPOP.
