Got my custom up pipes for 6.0 manifolds on a 6.4 from the guys at DarkHorse today.

Their quality is very good, at a price that's hard to beat.

Once the VGT shows up for my jr high powers, witch must apparently be manufactured in area 51.....cause nobody's seen it, knows where its actual location or can confirm or deny it exists lol

I'll post up some install pics.

For now heres some pics of their up pipes

Got my manifolds and uppipes from darkhorsedieselperformance the other day. I wrapped them up and are ready to go in.
Customer service is excellent. The bolts for the manifolds happen to get over looked. I emailed Ricky at 830pm and told him 8am next day emailed me with the tracking number.

update

Finally pulled the trigger this week on some Dark Horse up pipes and a SDP down pipe. Looking forward to fixing the black truck! I'll post up some pics next week when I do the job.

The weak point of the stock system is the thin tube at the bend, right? The HD aftermarket up pipes correct this. What is the advantage of the 6.0 manifolds vs. 6.4 with HD ups? The only thing I see is the bend is cast into the manifold.

To the best of my knowledge, no one makes an up pipe as thick as the manifold. Even if they did, the added weight of the up pipes may be a factor. Of course, don't forget that the 6.0 manny flows more air than the 6.4 manny. To the best of my knowledge, that is only manifold that has been PROVEN to do so with the possible exception of RCDs. I thought they released some info but I can't recall for sure.

Shane's gonna be p#ssed when he reads that one. :hammer:

Ahhh, c'mon.. All in good fun. All BS aside, certain things that can be done cab on like up pipes aren't worth the headache IMO, I just assume pull the cab and work comfortably, but I understand that not everyone has access to a lift so it is what it is.

Yeah seriously. I have up pipes and 6.0 manifold awaiting install. I've considered wrapping a strap through my cab doors and yanking it off with my boom tip digger outsider. Think ill attempt the can on approach first though. Really hoping it changes the tune of exhaust some with the install too. I hate sounding like everyone else.

The strap idea isn't a bad one, just keep the strap or straps centered at the door center post(" B "post ) and you will be fine. Maybe pad the headliner so it doesn't get damaged but it will work. Good luck man.

Manifold and up pipes are definitely a worthwhile upgrade and I recommend them to everyone, but I didn't appreciate much in terms of sound inside the cab. If you talking about sound at idle, read up on the MCC section about turning the vane off at idle. Those sound pretty good.

Thanks. Yeah my company has a 3 million dollar shop. Probably 20 million dollars in equipment and can't afford a 3000 dollar 2 post lift. WTH
