Done a lot of searching and could not find anything about shimming the valve springs with the seals. I know how to shim the springs.
So if I'm shooting for an installed height of 1.780. The valve seal lip is approx .050". Since the shim goes under the seal, I would shoot for 1.830 without the seal. I would be measuring the lip of the seal at the time of install.
Any thoughts?
