Valve Springs

Some quick ones here, I'm bringing my heads to the machine shop to have the comp 910 valve springs installed. What should I tell the machinist the seat pressure/ height needs to be? Second, should I have him do anything else to the heads while he has them? Thank you!

most put a .035" shim under the valve stem seal to shim them to the desired pressure (125lbs). I put a .060" under mine when I did mine with no issues.

most put a .035" shim under the valve stem seal to shim them to the desired pressure (125lbs). I put a .060" under mine when I did mine with no issues.

I did a .060" shim as well, put me around 140lbs of pressure. So far so good.

Yes, they're cheap so no reason not to.

Seals are on the way and the heads have been dropped off! 40 bucks for the set to have the valve springs set! Just waiting on the seals for him to begin!
