VGT Solenoid

How hard is it to replace the VGT solenoid? Looks simple but I've been wrong before. Just remove and replace? Can the turbo stay in? Also how much does this thing cost from the dealer? Tried looking online and didn't see anything.

Its real easy to replace just un plug the connector and remove the hold down bolt. I dont remember off the top of my head how much they cost.

If your turbo is surging like mine was, just pull it out and spray the crap out of it with carb cleaner. Try that before you spend any money.

The connector on the solenoid is broken! Guy said he did it awhile ago.

They aren't hugely cheap. For a busted connector of just ride with it for awhile, or did you bust it right off, can't plug the sensor in?
