wastegate vs BOV

I am looking to increase the longevity of my trucks and I have looked for hours on multiple forums, so here is my question. Would I be better installing a waste gate or a BOV. My truck is my daily driver so it see highway driving to the city all the way to a garbage run to the dump.

get good custom tunes and dont worry about it.

The only reason for you needing a BOV is if you cant train yourself to not chop the throttle and make the turbo bark.

I'm doing both because well it caint hurt and I'd rather error on the side of caution.

Dont need either but both are insurance. I have both. I dialed in my gate going off ebp and left it at that.

Well they do different things so you have to decide what you're trying to accomplish.

You dont need them, just get proper tunes, monitor EBP and if its too high have the tune reworked.
