Drain the water out if the fuel pump on the frame rail right under the driver side behind just behind the fender well. There's a plug that takes an Allen head wrench. Pull the plug let it drain till you see nothing but diesel come out.

Put the plug back in and the water in fuel light will go away.

6mm allen key, little brass plug, drain it and hopefully the light goes out.

The sensors are fairly common to mess up and stay on or false triggers, and the plug can be a PITA.

If the plug is fighting you are stripping out, Ford/IH have an improved plug that came on the LCF trucks.

Ford part number: 6E7Z-9C082-A
International part number: 2589259C91
List price is around $16.00

Part numbers from this article, http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/articles/article-05-19.php

On my truck I ended up having to remove the pump from the truck and pull the cover off so the plug could be drilled out and replaced. That was at around 80k and the previous owner never drained it.

hmm i havent drained it, yet the light is off. ill change it tomorrow any ways

If your on a hill or taking a corner, it will come on when it's needs emptying and the light will go back out again when on level ground..

Got a BF1212 before the A1000 on my bro's 6.0, so much easier to deal with since the drain is just a screw at the bottom of the filter.
