Water pump modification

Would it be a good idea to do like a cummins and grind some fins off the water pump w a filled block. That lil oval that the water has to flow threw looks like it would build alot of pressure. May free up a lil hp too lol.

I really dont see why it would hurt. I am half tempted to just eliminate the water pump and use an electric pump to circulate water through the heads.

I would to but rules wont allow
