water pump question

I'm doin headgaskets and studs and other upgrades and want to replace the water pump while its apart. I have an 03 build motor and was trying to get some opinions on if it is worthwhile to swap to the newer front cover to run the bigger 04+ water pump.

I'm not sure if it'll be worthwhile but whatever you decide put a bullet proof water pump.

That was my plan.....just didnt know if the 100mm vs 90mm impeller is worth the hassle of changing the cover. I have not had any cooling issues before and now the egr is going to be out of the system.

Anyone else have any thougts on this? Gotta order the pump soon

If you haven't had problems i would just leave it, just make sure there aren't any signs of cavitation when you pull the pump out
