I haven't gone after market yet. Should I stick with motor craft?

stock is good for around 500Hp, SB, AFE, and No limit are what I would say are the most popular 3

The factory donaldson gives the best filtration. I called and spoke to AFE when I had my 6.4 and they flat out told me that the factory oem filter in the 6.4 flows enough for 600hp or more. The limit of airflow is the housing. I was instructed, by AFE that the stock donaldson would be fine and go w/ the washable for convenience. Some guys just like upgrading the airfilter or like having the flexibility of a washable unit.
To each his own but after speaking w/ AFE directly I saw no reason to spend the $$ on an aftermarket unit. My truck as all original 29X+ miles, all Ford/Motorcraft/OEM filters and oil. As much as I hate to say it, maybe OEM is better for 6.0 and 6.4 applications.
OEM housings are a PIA but a 6.0 w/ 290+ original miles is rare but it was all stock prior to my acquiring it. Food for thought.
