See if you need a bunch of extra.shti before you think you do. Make sure your cooler is.clean and see how hot the fluid gets towing before.you.spend a.shtiload of.money on parts for a stock trans. It'd be easy to.get a grand wrapped up in the stocker that is gonna puke when its gonna puke anyway. My stocker lasted 250k miles with lift, 37" tires, and a 100hp tune on it the whole time...it.crapped.out.because.all the.rubber was.toast.from 250k miles.worth of heat.cycling. I changed.my fluid if it.got.hot and if.not.once a.year and mine lasted. It had 10-24k lbs worth of.shti behind it everyday too. Ive never used Mobil 1 trans fluid but the ford.tranny engineer says.its.good.at doing its job even at 300°. [/QUOTE]
