Looking at picking up a used SCT live wire 9625OR locally from Craigslist for a decent price I think. Ultimately I want to do the 2 main ******s and run the KEM tunes.

Anything I should know or look for before buying?
Is strategy just another word for tune?
Where do I find the latest firmware updates?
Where can I find how many unlocks it has left?

I have one of these for sale currently...Make sure it's updated to latest firmware. Make sure it's not cracked anywhere on the outer casing or coming apart easily and that it has a few unlocks. Mine has 4 unlocks left.

It's running firmware 6.4.060
Tune version 64 1.3.4

It just has the SCT tunes, where do I see if it's the offroad version?

Thanks blacksmoke08 but I'm not sure with shipping and PayPal fees you'll sell it at a price close to this.

It doesn't say OR anywhere, the ad says it does EGR/*** ******s but I don't want to buy it without seeing it if it's supposed to be there. I got a pic from the screen with all the software numbers but doesn't say OR. Any where to look specifically?

Drunkondiesel, you mind letting me hold 1400 bucks???

I feel a KEM tune + simple ******, sinister evil EGR ****** kit and new up pipes along with the cab lift labor is going to be enough for now.

If I didn't have a cracked EGR feeder pipe needing replacing I would of gone with a h&s.

If decide to leave all of the *** and EGR systems I can run their 210 tunes. Upgraded coolers down the road, down pipe, *** back exhaust, maybe a slightly larger compound setup and a tune.

From what I'm reading is that their *** on tunes get a little better MPG than the *** off tunes, besides that I'm military and always moving so I'm not trying to get to an inspection bay just to have to get turned away for missing crap.

There's far better choices out there then KEM.

I wouldn't run KEM with the filter removed, let alone in place... the 210 race tune cycles the EGR to keep it clean, but you can have H&S tunes built with the same thing.

I have coolers and valve fully functional on my MCC race tunes.

And there's no way a filter-present tune gets better mileage than a filterX'd tune. If it does, it won't be long before the filter is plugged solid with soot.

Where are you currently stationed? I might have some solutions for you!

Hmm, interesting. Just kind of of what I read into and found as far as tunes with *** on. Unfortunately I don't have h&s funds at the time do to the up pipe fix I need. I know people do it themselves but I can't.

Hence the few hundred dollar SCT 9625 as a tuner.

I won't hate on a many for paying somebody to work on their truck. ESPECIALLY a 6.4!

I like driving them, not working on them :D

I have had that tuner on my truck since about 9000 miles on the odometer back in late '09 or early '10, it works for my needs. I just run a street tune from one of the tuners. If you plan to go balls to the wall, I would suggest one of the other options available.

It is an inexpensive way to rid yourself of the EPA stuff on there. No way I would keep the under cab bits on there, they have been shown to kill these motors due to the regen process.
