Choosing between an S466 and a GT4294, which do you guys think would be better for the truck in my sig? The S466 has .9/1.00/1.10 housings available and the GT 4294 has a 1.01 housing.
The truck is a DD that pulls an 11k# 5er occaissionally.

I'm going to go with the GT4294. Maybe one day I can squirrel enough $$ away for a GTX4202. As it is, I'll be running the 4294 w/ DI headers and Irate's T4 w/ external wastegate.
I was sitting ~550RWHP with the 38R. Does anyone have any idea of what I can expect out of the 4294?
But PLEASE keep this thread going. I think there's some useful information that can be shared.

I don't think your gonna gain that much unless you bump up to 200% nozzles. With that, an if you got the rest of your gremlins ironed out, you should have no problem breaking 600.

:whs: you need big boy nozzles LOL

I'd also look at an s467 billet wheel and/or an s471. As well as WOP gqsb I believe

I personally think you will encounter more lag then you want for a DD/tow truck with those sticks, and a 70+ comp ind.

Even with the 1.01 turbine housing? I've been told it would spool similar to a 38R. Is that wrong?

ill make you a good deal on a gtx4294..... it does spool sooner and flows as much air as the gt4202 and works better at higher pressure ratios.

Let us know how it turns out. I think
I'll be going with a S366/73/.90

Then grow from there

I'm running a 4294r with 250/100's and I think it spools just like my 38r did and tows great also. No problems cleaning up any smoke to a very light haze when the turbo lights which is right at 1800 rpm, the same as all the other turbo/injector combos I've run.
