I've come across this several times now. Unfortunately I've never looked into it much since those trucks were work Truck and not using the OBD port for anything else besides diagnosis.
Now I've got one with a GT tuner and it's pulling this crapped. Driving and all of a sudden the wrench light, low power and harsh shifts. But it only happens with something, either IDS or the tuner plugged into OBD. ..
Driving now to see if I can pull codes but I bet they will be U codes
