Depends on what compression is like in it and how far I'd have to go to get it. I'd say 1000 is a good start. If I can't get one I'll just fix my engine

I have a good motor but wont be pulled till summer, dont have compression numbers. Been stock its whole life, doesnt use any oil runs like a top has 188k, also have a good e4od. New racerx tc and vb. Trans came outta stock truck that had 130k on it. Since install of racerx goodys ive drove it maybe 50 miles, shifts flawless. Park cause I have different plans for the truck.

I have my old engine thats been sitting on a shelf since i yanked it out last winter, 205k miles and compression ranged from 290-340psi. I'm between Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana.
