EBP_Des is another important PID, but I do not know the x=gauge programming for it. It may also be called EP DSD in a scan tool. It is the "desired" EBP pressure (what the PCM wants to see). Comparing it to the actual EBP seen by the PCM can sometimes be helpful. You might do some searching... -

Just remember: EBP_a is absolute pressure (that has the barometric pressure added in, or in other words it is in reference to absolute zero pressure or total vacuum). EBP_g is gauge pressure. That pressure is in reference to atmospheric pressure, so it will read zero at atmospheric pressure... -

Nice tip. I also like to preheat the o-rings and then let then rest. A hair dryer can be used, but I like to heat up a jar of oil (in the oven to 175 degrees) and then dunk the o-ring or at least slowly pour the oil over it. Then the rest period! -

Good deal! The high pressure oil system is hot and high pressure. In MY opinion, it is most certainly an area of the engine where good quality parts (especially o-rings and gaskets) are important. -

Change your pressure units to psi instead of kPa. It is impossible for the PCM to desire over 5000 psi. What scan tool are you using? What codes do you have? Are you sure your wiring (power AND ground) is good (each circuit has continuity) between the IPR and the PCM? Where are you buying your... -

There are 3 versions of the branch tubes: 03 for the round aluminum HPOP and log style rails (3C3Z-9J332-AA). 05 (and up) for the cast iron HPOP and wavy style rails (5C3Z-9J332-C). Late '04 for the round aluminum HPOP and the wavy style rails. You would want the last one on the list. Part...
