To my knowledge, none have been run on a 7.3 platform yet. But the feedback on the 369 on a 6.7 powerstroke, 6.7 cummins and lbz duramax has been extremely impressive. Duramax customer replaced a competitors 'billet' 366 and is getting better spoolup and less smoke at wide open throttle. Says...

It is not an issue that has been remedied as of yet, it is vital that anyone running an EFR in a high boost application (meaning 25+ psi) run a turbo speed sensor gauge to monitor shaft speed. I ran the 9180 on my personal truck and had it wastegated more than 10,000 rpm below the said max shaft...

Actually the efr has had durability issues on diesel applications. The gamma-ti turbine wheels won't support the extreme shaft speeds seen in high boost applications like a conventional s300 or s400 will.

The changes to the 66 to improve flow are due mostly to the change in compressor cover design. The other thing to realize with the sx-e line is they longer will be putting the aggressive 20 - degree clip on the 73 turbine wheel thay the box s366 has. So the turbine wheel should allow for better...

They were released about a month ago, but none of the distributors have received their stocking orders yet. Should be ready to ship to customers in about two weeks.

I think it's going to work really well on the 7.3 trucks, at least for a hot street application. May be worth it to pay the little bit extra for the 1.0 housing too

H&S wastegate

If it's tuned right it should only open at wide open throttle. Amd by the time it does, the truck should be at full boost amd running clean. Had mine for 10,000+ miles amd the undercarriage was clean of soot.

I doubt you'll find maps of the aftermarket compressor wheels. Not many wheel producers have the equipment required to formulate that flow data. The 62, 64.5, and 66 stuff is available through Borg however. On a side note, HTT built a few 64.5/68 combos and they flat out ripped but the...

Thanks for the mention Derek. On the 6.0 platform I'd definitely go to the smaller 68mm turbine. Whole the 70mm works well for some heavier fueled 6.0 trucks, the 68mm with a .83 or .91 should drive and tow really well with the right tune. You'd have the option to go to a 62 or 64.5 fmw compressors.

That's is definitely odd and way short of what those injectors and turbo should be capable of. Maybe KC is onto something with the VGT no longer being used, maybe the PCM is seeing something from the VGT that's telling it to pull fuel

We have been building the 64.5 as a 'custom' unit turbo for over two years, long before borg announced the release of the new SX-E line. In the beginning we were not doing the 360 thrust. But as time went on, the turbos built with the smaller 68mm (like bigrpower's) and 70mm turbine sizes...
