This is what I have right now. The first time it went in it had a P1865 code. They put a shift motor and a GEM module in it. I don't have the codes yet for the last time, but they put in the smart junction box. I'm sure they weren't working on it for a month just had it that long. -

I did upgrade the alternator & wiring along with the FICM. I've had some other unforeseen projects come up so, I don't have any of it installed yet. Hopefully this weekend. -

I'll start off by saying by no means is this the proper way to fix it. It may not even work on a Ford or in your situation. My dads 01 Duramax when it started puking coolant we pulled the thermostat and drilled a small hole in it (around 1/8) and it quit puking. His truck had no coolant going in... -

Looked it up and it doesn't meet the Ford spec for the 5R or the 6R. For Mercon or Mercon V applications. That's right from the LE 1150 product sheet. May be working good for you but isn't the recommended spec for your trans. -

It's definitely the cheaper way to go to upgrade to the newer pan and filter. I get what you are saying by "not specified" it may not be for my truck but the 08 - 10 used the same trans with that pan and filter. If I upgrade to either setup I was planning on still running the TP filter anyway... -
