The washing part is part of the problem. Its hard not to end up with waterspots after washing in my area. Alot of limestone in the water, even at good carwashes.

Look into Krown Coating. I wish I would have done it. I actually did an undercoating similar to zeibart that LineX offered when I was getting my bed done. It seems okay, and it didn't have overspray everywhere like previous vehicles I've had done at zeibart.

Well, I mean, most claybars, you use a quick detail spray, etc. with, that doesn't leave a thin film on there?

I'd have to do a bit more research, but I didnt' think the older 5.4s had as much trouble with the cam phasers at the maybe 04-07ish ones. I do know they are famous for spitting the plugs out though.
