Hello all, driving home from thanksgiving dinner, my truck (99 F250 7.3 4r100 manual 4x4) started to make an awful noise. Only when I’m barely on the gas, or feathering the throttle. The best way I can describe it is like sandpaper on metal. If I mash the throttle it goes away, in neutral and park it goes away. Haven’t checked reverse yet but I will do a further diagnosis tomorrow. My thought could be a worn out torque converter or something along those lines… really hoping it’s nothing too serious, as money is tight. It is WAY louder outside of the truck than inside. Any thoughts? If you’d like to hear it, I can email a video of the sound
