Been an ongoing project about 7 years. Started out as a 2wd FSD Automatic garbage truck.

At one point it was compound turboed with a turbo from a mack truck, some junkyard injectors and a welded diff, made a pretty fun burnout machine.

Then it got 4wd swapped with a d60 and 4.10s with a yukon full spool in the rear. and eventually ZF5 swapped

Then finally came a much awaited motor swap with one id been putting together for a while. Homemade t4 setup, Homemade stainless log manifolds, s475/83 1.10, FF 250/200s, smith bros pushrods, comp springs, budget e-fuel, hydra/jelich tunes, and a Southbend 650hp dual disc

The truck has been an absolute animal for the last year or so, finally decided to spit an input shaft out of the old tired zf5-42

Expecting a steel flatbed at some point this summer as well.

Looks good Ryan. We will get the trans all fixed up for you. Might want to think about the short throw shifter also if you don't have one yet. Yes we are crazy busy and behind and sorry for that. Thanks for the business.

No worries and no rush, as long as she's good n tight. I spoke with Adam again last week and told him to add a short throw to the build. Thanks again

Couple updates, the trans is finally back from midwest and ready to go back in the truck this evening

Picked up a BD intercooler for a steal and got it nestled in its new home

Driveshaft is still at the shop getting a new slip joint. Should be back on the road shortly after the holiday

Could you give a little explanation on how you made the headers and where you sourced your parts!?

The flanges i found in the depths of the internet somewhere, i cant recall the company at the moment. The rest is just 1-1/2" sch40 stainless butt-weld fittings from mcmaster-carr and i used v-bands at the up-pipes.

Update.. truck sat for a week or 2 waiting on a new radiator after finally cracking the original one. Got it installed last night and not even 12 hours later I believe I broke a rocker arm (or hopefully nothing worse) as I got a bad miss and blue smoke after a hard pull in 3rd gear (spun and rev limitered) Going to pull the VC's tonight and see what happened

Looks decent atleast

Doubt it was a rocker arm. More likely a pushrod. If bolts break, its because they where over tightened.

On a 7.3 that is.

Found the culprit last night its a mechanical issue in my #7 injector. Passed buzz test but shut off at #7 on the CCT. Unplugged the solenoid while it was running, didnt change the way it ran at all but the smoke stopped. Pulled it out, all the o-rings look fine. Going to call FullForce when they open monday and hopefully get it taken care of. Is there a need to pull and send all of them? or just the problemed one

I would recommend sending them all in.
They will make sure they are balanced and all flow the same.

Little update... finally got some time to work on it. I got the one injector back from full force. they said they found some debris in the nozzle and replaced it. Got it back in the truck and there was no change at all. Waited a week for a compression tester adapter and got around to testing the drivers side. #1, #3, and #5 were between 360-370psi, #7 checked out at 175psi. Final conclusion is I made piston/valve contact at rev limiter and bent a valve causing it to not seal. I can rule out any piston or ring failure due to there being no extra blow-by. Pulling the head tonight hopefully to get a better look. Since funds won't allow a bottom end build until winter time I believe for now Ill go with a stiffer set of valve springs, fix the problemed valve, and try to keep my foot out of it until i can get some cut pistons in there. Any suggestions on valve springs? CncFabs stage 2 kit or irate looks like my options
