Need all brakes done.

does anybody sell just a dimpled and slotted rotor? I do not like drilled and slotted for this heavy of a application.

Do I just go with cheapo parts store chinese rotors and a good pad?

I have a 04/04 so I think I have the 13 inch rotor....

I had their front rotors and pads on my Expedition... they were on maybe 2 years(12k miles) when a pad fell off the backing plate and without a notice the rotor was junk as is the caliper. Warranty I understand, but im not chancing that on this truck

I was looking at doing the cryo slotted rotors myself and either Hawk or EBC pads. I rarely drive the truck anymore so it got put on the back burner, but still interested.

My problem is with the calipers. They just suck. I can't seem to get a set that works properly for any amount of time, and I certainly don't want to spend the $$$ on the SSBC units. Can't see those lasting in our winters. The pistons in my calipers always seem to crack and become oval shaped so they wont slide in/out anymore and then they just wear everything out incredibly fast.

I have Cryo Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads... Does it brake better? Yes. Would I spend the coin over OEM again? No.

Are drilled a bad idea because they crack under high heat applications from towing? Or are they bad in a non-towing DD performance application too?

I run ART slotted/dimpled rotors on my 08. Ive had them on for 40K+ miles and haven't had to touch them since.

I have the same on my truck. They were on my 08 for 30k and put them on my 11, I have about 80k on my 11. So I've 100k miles and they are still great. Sucks to hear they went out of business.

I saw some EBC slotted and dimpled rotors that looked nice.
Anyone used those on one of these fat pigs?

I have cryo art's as well, I've had a couple of calipers stick and the rotors get super hot and they haven't warped. But if they're out of business I'm sure power slots or ebc's will suffice

I've heard the AP Racing kits go on sale from time to time. That is what I am waiting for. That or the Wilwood kit. SSBC is nice, but for a smidge more you can have 16" rotors.
