Felt a slip in the trans today from 1-2, and under a heavy heavy accel my trans has always had a hang up point to where sometimes I'd have to let off to let her shift. Im fearing the worst here. But unlike the rest of you, Im not baller so I cant afford the B word trans...

The truck does not tow, at all. Just my quad in the bed and maybe another one on a small trailer. but thats it. Its a daily driver that lives in the Daily Driver tune and on occasion the Tow tune... currently motor is all stock besides a 38R and Beans tunes. Plans later are stage 1's and then thats IT!

I know my trans guy in town, he has built some amazing trans. But I want to be prepared for when I drop it off.

What torque converter?
Do I need billet parts, IE input, output shafts?
What clutches?

I dont think I need upgraded cooling, I have probably seen the trans hit 180 5 times in its life...

I read somewhere that using some parts from a E4OD will improve the strength...

thanks

Converter, billet input, e40d forward drum, I use raybestos clutches, and a valve body or shift kit if you dont have one.

Im not a fan of hard shifts, is a shift kit too much when your tunes are already setup for stiffer shifts?

As far as converters go I would go with a With a SunCoast or a Precision. I think the Precision may be a little cheaper and carry a better warranty. But you better plan on dropping around $1,300 bucks for any good triple disc converter.
