Go with a set of Amp's and run 3M Rock Guard down the rocker panel.

The worry that I have with those 3m clear film and products alike are whether or not they are going to yellow eventually. Do they stand out if I was to put a piece of my emblem up front? Anyone use it?? My only reference material is this

The "Rock Guard" isn't made by 3M, is it? http://www.rockguardfilm.com/productInfo.htm

The 3M site I linked above seems like the one to go with based on name brand quality. You recommend that or the Rock Guard?

3M Scotchgard is what I have on my truck for 2 years now still can't even tell its there. I have my grille surround, bumper, wheel wells and rocker panels done.

Truck gets parked in the winter so I can't comment on what the NY salt will do to it though.

There is a guy on the Island that uses the Rock Guard product that loves it but I have not personally used it.

Thanks PS22! I would imagine that 3M would engineer their products to also put up a fight against adverse weather conditions and salt from beach driving.

I had 3m film on my black 07 gmc hood for 4years and the only way you knew it was there was by the transition. Pealed it of when I went to sell it and you could not tell it was there. However the dents from rocks did not have chipped paint.
