I installed a 4" rough country lift.

Putting driveshafts in today and rear shaft (at transfer case ) is out 1/2" from stock ....

Question,
Should I have the shaft lengthened 1/2"

Or is there still enough spline left for good contact?

I plan to take it out tomorrow and double check measurements
But pretty sure its just 1/2"

Front shaft is good since its extendable.

Trying to recall from memory, that's leaving what, 2.5 or 3 inches inside? Probably fine if you aren't hotroding or off-roading. I seem to remember they were fairly long.

Yes

Stock it was 3" on the splines
With the lift, I'm at 2-1/2" on the splines.

Ima call it good.

But yeah, the entire tube is like 5" fully splined

Probably fine, driveshaft tubing is expensive, I would try to run it first.

I had to change the bushing in the output housing to take up some slop but been working fine since.
