Pop when using 4wd?

Tonight I engaged 4hi at a low speed in wet grass...speed less than 5mph...

No issues for about 75-100 ft...then I heard a loud pop from the left front wheel...

I continued in 4wd with no issues...took it out of 4wd when I got where I was going and reengaged with no issues.

06 250 fx4 with electronic 4x4 with auto hubs.

Any ideas?

Prob a stuck hub lock or vac line is leaking and hub popped in or out

Tried it again in a little wetter ground and it did the same thing.. acts as if the 4wd is actually locking in.

I know some noise is to be expected

Turn your hubs to lock instead of auto and see if it still does it

If it still does ot hub is bad of not its prob vacume related my best guess

Did not do it with hubs locked manually...where do the vaccum lines from the hubs run to?

Should be couple short line from the.spindle
