Track Bar question

When I bought my truck it came with a track bar that's not in the original location. As you can see from the pics, it runs under the cross member to the top of the passenger side leaf spring. I have no idea of the manufacturer. It has a greasable bushing in the top location that needs replaced. But I have no idea to replace it with since I don't know the manufacturer. Should I just find another adjustable bar and replace in the same location or just buy an original with stock location mount. It has a leveling kit so I do know if I go with the oe I do need a drop bracket for the oe location. Or a long shot, maybe somebody out there knows whom this bar kit is made by lol.



Yes I saw the breather tube wasn't attached lol.

Well I've been looking all over the net and the only thing close that looks like mine are adjustable track bars for 2005-up trucks. Just doesn't have a ball joint at the lower side like on those trucks, do I have some modified jobby?

Im not familiar with whose kit that is but if you wanted to send it to me, I can make a new one to the same specs for $200-250.

If the mounts/welds look good enough to re-use, there shouldn't be any foreseeable issues using what's there, other than the bump stop may contact the lower mount on the axle.

I would either pull the old end off, either try to find a replacement bushing, or replace the joint with an aftermarket one. Or measure the total length of the trac bar, then fab a new one with some high quality joints (http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/categories.aspx?id=1232). Yeah I was thinking to see if I could try to find replacement bushings by taking it off and measuring or just fabbing up a new one. If I go the fabbing up route I think I might just have to go with PMF as that seems like a very reasonable price and I won't be the one that has to do it LOL Just driving me nuts that I can't figure out who made this kit LOL Maybe it's an older kit the original owner put on it:shrug:

Too bad you dont have the original mounts, then you could just buy Trevors adj bar for your truck. I think Trevor has very reasonable prices and his products are excellent quality imo

Yeah, if you knew the pin diameter, and it matched the stock size, you could just buy the ICON adjustable one. I have it and it works nice. Quality product.

Or.... Have PMF build you one.

Yeah I've looked at the Icon bars as an option or going with PMF if I can't find bushings for it. Just gotta wait till after vacation and when I decide to take it off the truck to get a better look at it :doh:

Wow, the pitman arm looks like its at least a six inch drop.

The mounting location of the trac bar is really similar to the front end kit that dynatrac sells for those years trucks.

It also kinda looks like the trac bar is getting hit by the pumpkin during compression.

I think I see the factory axle side trac bar mount in one picture. Maybe get a frame side mount and factory style trac bar.
