1995 F350 Motor mount bolts.

They hold the plates to the crossmember which accept the actual motor mounts.

The nuts are oblong…
They also appear to be some sort of lock not possibly?

I’ve clean them up and I’m sure they will work but I think I’m just going to get some grade 8 7-1/6” bolts from work.

Just curious.

Yes those are lock nuts. The oval shape helps lock it down, better than a nyloc which could burn the nylon out, or after many ins and offs the nylon is gone.

Yep it's a lock nut.

With the threads messed up, was the crossmember loose? Is that way you are replacing them?

No nothing was loose

I believe I nackered up the threads on that one bolt trying to get them out at the time.

This was before I realized you can just take the 2 Nuts off each motor mount.

Anyway the engine is out for oil pan/exhaust manifolds and new turbo
