What is a reasonable budget for an 800 -1000 h 6.7. And where is the limit for what the trans and diff will take on a 2011 fx4 f450, more specifically if i took it to morgan or biggrpowr. But i need to pass ca. Smogg some of the time.

I have nearly 10K in just a turbo kit and dual fuelers that should be good for 640hp (Don't have it yet). Add for built bottom and tranny you are probably gonna be pushing 40k if you go all out by the time you get all labor added in.

I figure I will roast my tranny in time at 640hp. Sure the stock tranny handled 860 on the dyno, but that is not repeated abuse on the street.

At 800 -1k I doubt you will pass smog, but IDK.

Severely over aired would be good for this goal. I had a 800 HP Cummins that was 95% smokeless...But I had 15K into trips.
