Won't disengage 4 low

Not a powerstroke, but my girls 05 super duty. Had it in the snow yesterday, and had to put it in 4 low to get out of a stuck spot. Went to go get in it today, and it won't disengage. Trying to figure out what may have gone wrong. Truck has the 4x4 knob on the dash. Thanks

why were you in 4lo?



the shift actuator could be stuck or frozen. do you here a whine when you select 4hi? if you hear no whine try tapping the shift motor with a hammer.

2 feet of snow and the truck was budging in 4 hi. It was only used to get into the driveway

I was thinking it could be frozen, hoping it may thaw out today. Didn't notice any whining when I tried it in 4 hi
