Awesome fuel filter change

So yesterday i realized i was coming up on time to change my fuel filters and stopped by international on the way home picked up my filters and got started when i got there. This is where things get fun.

First i drained the fuel water separator. Small white flakes and a ton of crud? awesome!


Then i pull the filter and discover more crud and this lovely looking filter.


And some crud stuck to the inside of the cap


But wait.... it gets even better!!! The secondary filter is even black :rockon:


And to top it all off. Who can tell me whats wrong with this picture?

Huh, are the dirty ones Racor/motorcraft filters? Ive seen one twist like that but, it was a cheap Napa filter. How many miles are on the filters?

They come from international so i'm guessing Racor? 15-20K miles

so yeah your missing some parts there bud. where did they end up

That sucks.

Indeed, does anyone know what i'll effects this could cause? I'm running it like that for now as i have to work, but i don't want it to do any damage.

You think my 04 bowl would replace it?

I personally would not go over 10k miles with fuel filters on a 6.0. Injectors cost too much...

Nothing wrong with the bowl, just that piece inside. I believe it comes out with just 2 torx screws. But i'm not sure if they are the same peice/design or not

Yea i usually don't let them run for too long but money and other things have slowed me down on my truck a bit, I just clicked 5k on my oil so i'll be changing that today
