I got the scangauge from Terminator Engineering and was wondering if I can just hook up the OBDII conection and it will work or will I have to get power from the optional three wire connection? Sorry for the dumb question but I thought I would ask the Army profesionals.

Could it be that the aux power line kit is for when you hook up the external sensors

ok, did buzz test last night and it passed. i tried to do the contribution tests and it came up with three codes p0269 no. 3 cyl fault, p0284 no. 8 cyl fault and p0541 manifold heater (mines deleted, might need to put a resistor in there). could this be a faulty cam shaft sensor issue?

Motor has to be hot for contribution test. I think 3 and 8 are the grey CPS deal.

i do have a spare used cps that was good when i swaped in the new one. i swaped it because it was cheap and i was trying to track a problem down and the problem ended up being a loose chip connection.
