basically the aluminum tube is a casted piece from a foundry. its the only logical way to get a formed oval inlet for the stock turbo. i'm just waiting on them. when they give the word stuff gets made in a snap. the drawings were done 2 months ago, but the casting process is just that way. it will use the massive AFE filter i use in the 6.4 and soon to come 6.0 kit. a 5" inlet that is 12" long.

pretty sure i said that from day 1 LOL

So is the cast peice going to be able to be polished?

so.... will it be polished? Will there be another boot there or will it be welded to the piping for the intake?

it will be available polished. no welding, it will be rolled on each end for boot at turbo and clamped on filter on filter end.
