Decided to go ahead and add the Fuel Pressure setup to my CTS I put in. I know you could probably do it cheaper by picking up different senders, and wiring them yourself to the EAS Harness, but I decided to just pick up the edge sender, that comes with the harness with plugs on the end that hook right up to the EAS harness. I picked up the following parts to do it.
EDGE Part #98607 (pressure sensor 0-100psi)
Contents of the box:
Plug with green on it hooks to EAS harness
Plug with purple on it hooks to sensor
Sensor in the middle
Here is a picture of the sensor plugged into the harness:
The next part is the EDGE EAS Universal Sensor input. This part piggybacks on your EAS connection that should already have if you have a EGT or other EAS accessory hooked up. Each Universal Sensor Input will support two sensors. The females on the harness are where you're EDGE sensor lead will plug right in. It also comes with two pigtails with male plugs that you can use if you are using a sensor made by someone other than EDGE.
EDGE Part #98605 (hasnt came in yet)
I also already had the fuel pressure adapter from ITP (now Strictly Diesel). You can get it here:
6.0L Fuel Pressure Adapter
You can get an adapter and put the sensor right in the test port on side of the fuel filter housing. The thread of the test port is 12x1.5 o-ring. But the remote adapter mounts the sensor away from the engine. To quote their website:
The provided adapter fitting installs in place of the plug in the fuel filter bowl and the hose allows the sending unit to be located off the engine (away from heat and vibration). The sending unit can also be located lower than the filter bowl (allowing any air bubbles to migrate back up to the filter so they don't affect the pressure reading).
Here is the picture of the adapter line:
This end of it screws into the fuel filter housing:
Then the other end has the 1/8" Female NPT for your sensor (also has schrader valve):
I'll be installing this week and will update with pictures as I do.
