Another T4 thread

I'm about done with the hit smokey set up I have now. After reading all of these 364/Basb posts, I've decided to go T4. After talking to Barder and telling him I'm not looking to race or sled pull, I just want to tow 10k and make clean cool power, I asked him about the 364.5 and he actually recommended the 363 with the 68 turbine. My current set up tows worse under 2200rpm than it did stock as far as speed and EGTs. Just wanted to see what the Internet has to say...

Im using a 364.5 with a 68mm turbine. Also running the 1.00 housing.
Im confident you will be quite impressed with 63 or 364.5.
It will tow great.
I think id do the 363 with the new 73 turbine that the sxe turbo has with the .91 housing thou. Should breath better with hardly any noticible decrease in spool over the 68 turbine.

I'm running the sxe64.5 with the 73 with 175/80's and it spools very very well. Low egts

I don't think you'll be disappointed with either. Putting a 364.5 on the truck was the best thing I ever did.

Put the stock 38R wheel back on. 35" tires and 3.73 not the best for towing 10K. Stop trying to tow in OD?

I agree the WW2 is a turd down low, but I bought it because the stock wheel surged more than my stock turbo with the 6/6 wheel ever did. Towing in OD?? :doh: I'd be happy if I could stay out of 2nd gear! Here's what a steady 1200Egt looks like in 3rd and 2300+ rpm.

Your boost looks low for towing at 2300 rpm.
I agree that ww2 is doing more harm then good.

If you are pulling hard at that rpm you should be at 25 psi boost not 17 .

Exactly! I'm hoping the T4 will take care of that. I forgot to mention, when I took that screen shot, the EPB was bouncing between 17 & 21. Usually the drive pressures are close to 1:1 until I floor it.

Thats perty standard issue for a 66mm turbo.
No amount of tuning is going to fix that compleatly.

Youd be better off going to a t4 mount with the 364.5.sxe

Agrreed the 11 blade sucks .
6×6 woukd be better but still wont even come close to the borg in bottem end performance

I 1000% agree with this. Isootmypants is running a 38r with 6 blade wheel he got from me and I will say for 250/100's it pulls well and gets are manageable but the low end doesn't seem like it is with my modded h2e
