That moment when you are running 10.16 and realize next day rail pressure drops to 25k on 2.0 when it gets to higher rpm and drops to 19k
Truck already has 10mm stroker on the cp3 bracket so bentley is gonna work on something for me so we can move forward

Maybe a 15 pump in the valley as well?

2 cp4.2's from a 15 would probably answer all the questions.

If I'm not mistaken even with the 10mm stroker kit in a cp3, doesn't a stock cp4.2 flow more? My knowledge is sketchy on this for sure but I thought the cp3 was a single p&b and the 4.2 was a double p&b...

Someone can correct and school on those thoughts... Please.

I'm pretty sure the cp3 flows quite a bit more, especially being a stroker pump. But the cp4.2 makes the higher pressures

Hmm. Interesting. A lbz duramax is flat out of fuel at 500 hp just like the 6.7l.

I know not apples to apples but the lbz was using a cp3. I'm not educated near enough on the CP's to know... just asking.

The interesting part is the "STROKER" kit is a factory 10mm Bosch part.

I guess in my little brain I expected 2 pumps in the cp4.2 to flow more than the 1 pump in the cp3. Even with a 10mm adder kit with ported internals.

The cp3 couldn't make the pressure supposedly because of the long duration of the stroke. And that was my understanding they went with a 2 piston shorter stroke cp4 to keep the pressure up and the pulsation at a minimum.

Don't take anything I've got to say on this as any form of gospel. The guys doing all the professional modding on them definitely know more.
