The bumper will have no support on the ends...so if you're ok with that then pull them off.
I reshape them to blend into the bumper where it bolts on at the bottom, opened up the bolt hole with a unibit and pushed the bracket as far forward as possible and also added a 1/4" spacer to push the whole mess bumper and all out. It looks stock and everything is still solid.

What's it need support for? If you get in a front end wreck those brackets aren't saving a thing. Not standing on it either so they're pretty much worthless lol

I guess I don't like my bumper jumping around when I hit a hard bump. If I can grab it with my hand and move it around with the bracket off, and I can, then it's bouncing around on the highway too. I'm not a shortcut guy...I do it 100% or I don't do it at all. Nothing wrong with removing it if you're ok with the end result.

Haven't noticed it on highway, I'll have to really pay attention next time the fiance is driving the truck. I understand what you're saying though

my brackets are removed and my bumper still feels solid. Doesn't move by hand on the ends. i do want to put them back on though just for piece of mind.

Yea I wanted to keep the support for the bumper would look a bit weak without it, I just kept grinding and shaping it till they cleared.

Quick question, I bought a truck with a lift, the arms say Pro Comp on them. Does anyone know a way of telling how big the lift actually is?

I'd say a 6", but sometimes it's tough to tell.

I agree with Mikey. Procomp uses the same arms on their 6" and 8" lift. Only difference on the 8" is adding 2" block under front coils and taller blocks in the rear. And depending on which shocks maybe some shock adapter brackets. With the 8" lift the angle on the radius arms is pretty steep.
