Anybody interested in the stock housing off my 38R, 1.0 with wastegate. Taking it off today and putting on the 1.15, has the ebpv delete already installed. Only had it on since the end of August.

I'll start at $150 + the ride

If I wasn't putting on some 238/100's I would keep it the way it is and drive it, but with the 1.15 I guess I'll have some EGT headroom. Mine runs fine with out of the box 38r.

If the 38R fails I wont be messing around - going T4 mount. Already sold the stock turbo anyhow.

Since my truck is ripped apart now with injectors laying everywhere, new price for housing $100 + shipping.

Yeah me too, however it (Turbo and mount)probably wont be sitting on the shelf waiting for the 38r failure. The only reason I rebuilt the stock turbo was to have it there to minimize downtime.

After my truck went down for 6 weeks when my BTS had to go back to Brian .I now even keep a spare tranny and transfer case on the shelf along with a spare TS chip , idms, pcms , working injector sets , hpop , long block , pyrometer ,etc.

My family does not like me when my truck is down, so I vowed not to put them through that again.

Almost a spare truck LOL

Yes , you are right. After reading almost every post on this and the other site.

Once you start paying to play, you had better be prepared for a failure. Unless of course you can be w/o your truck for awhile. Instead of blowin my wad on upgrading first , the pro's on here steered me into having a back-up first. Whether they know it or not.

So I spent that wad on a salvage title late 99 4x4 with 104k on the clock
(w/ great commpression results)with the same color interior and a recently replaced tranny and an a$$ load of salvagable parts. For less than I could have secured a set of 250/100's and a turbo to support them.

Sorry to the OP, did not intend to derail your for sale thread. GLWS Free bump for ya.

After the BTS and gauges it's "Game On". At that point you are ready to put each and every mod to the test. That to me is the only way to start a Build unless you are a hand shaker and you guys know whats needed.

It's okay I don't mind the derail, reinforces the fact that I need to get a beater if I want to keep going with the truck.

Here's a better pic of the old housing next to the 1.15

Yup, I went with some 238/100's I got off here actually. I routed the ccv up and over the brake booster, down the frame rail ending just beside the gas tank.

The truck really ****s n' gits now, I'm surprised at how smooth the power is without letting the smoke out. Besides my old mustang this is the most fun vehicle I've had now.

PM'd you back.

Have the FRx now but I'm gonna switch it up to a regulated return from either irate or strictly.
