I think I might write a horrendously sh*tty program that calls for buttloads too much pw and way too little ICP and then flash it to a truck with stock nozzles.

Then I'll rave on and on about how HORRIBLE stock nozzles are for towing or smoke control, cold weather and everything else. How they just smoke alllllllll the time and run hot allllllll the time. I'll run the idle ICP way too high so it sits and shakes and romps at idle too. I'll make the initial pw and ICP when you touch the pedal way to high so it jerks and bucks driving down the road as well. I'll post videos of it smoking like a train trying to tow down the road while overheating and burning up all the fuel in the world.

Why? Just to make it that much more obvious that the tuning decides nearly everything being discussed in this thread.
Those tunes have already been written and are being sold as we speak. PM for details.

So 200 EDM's are now in the norm at 650 on fuel?


Somebody with a good consistent 650rwhp truck should tour the country seeking these people out and annihilating them out on the streets.

200% nozzle=500+hp.....

300% seems to be around 600

400 700+

fuel only numbers....

I doubt that he does considering the fact he is selling everything now. Does Charles have any to back up his????

Not picking on Charles or you Cat specifically or anything but it pisses me off when everyone says that. What about a guy like me that has all his work into a 450 with a 6 speed. No way in hell I could ever back up a dyno run with a track time. So does that mean that any number I put down on the dyno will automatically be suspect? I assume so and guess it would be even more so if it seems a little bit "higher than the norm" for whatever setup I am running.

No chance that I might have tried anything different which might have gave me the increase in HP or maybe my inj are not normal, off the shelf inj or something. Every possible thing that could possibly have been tried already has so......

Like I said not directing this towards anyone in particular.

Its simple. I tell everyone I make 300hp no matter what truck I am driving. I can pretty much guarantee that I'm capable of making at least that no matter what.

Jason (Thuglike) is the only person I know of pulling consistent low to mid 600's on 200% nozzles. I think that Scott M pulled 6 something on Dunbar's with 200's, but can't remember for sure.

Point being.... I don't think it's time to break out the champagne and start billing the 200% EDM as the go-to nozzle for 650 on fuel just yet. That could be construed as a bit misleading.

And fwiw.... I pulled over 900 on fuel once upon a time with a 38R and some 300/100's on a mustang. On a Dynojet? Something like that's not POSSIBLE. I like that.



The main point being, in a thread about 200% nozzles, I think we should respect the fact that most people would be doing very well to crest 600rwhp on fuel.

I trapped a 102 with a broken torque converter and standard 250/200 hybrids. These injectors and the better TC are a world of difference.

No track time with the current setup, but i wasnt hugely surprised by the number. Been in a 658hp dodge that doesnt seem to pull like my truck does. So take it for what it is, nothing to back it up.

Tony wildman didn't seem to think my numbers and Derek's numbers were off... Mine may be off but Derek's is damn close to being right... You have to see them run for your self before you can say the dyno was off...

LOL I understand what you are saying, I just happened to read your quote when I was sitting in the MVA so I already was in a foul mood and it just irked me. Guess I gotta find a Dynojet around here that is "Dockboy approved." Shouldn't be hard as he lives not to far from me.

My buddy with a 5.9 common rail with 150horse sticks expected to make 525ish and did 515. Friend with a 5.9 with dual fuelers, 180 horse sticks, 66mm turbo etc... he made 540 on ****ty tuning ( should be over 700).

In my opinion numbers were low all day long, in fact I almost didnt run my truck because I hadnt live tuned it and getting another low number wasnt really that appealing to me. And they shop we were at is highly respected around the pacific northwest, its not just another whole in the wall shop with no diesel experience.

Pull the numbers on a dynojet inertia machine and the bs ends. This stuff isn't magic. DJ is the standard. For a reason.

Everything else is just something to do. Not something to compare.


My ability to give a sh*t about all the numbers spit out of all the other machines has slowly died over the years. Uncorrected DJ or just keep it to yourself IMO. That's the only un***able dyno out there. It just IS what it is. It may be higher or lower than you expected, but it's the SAME every freakin time. And if your number is higher, it's because you pushed harder on the roller. Not because of ANYTHING else.

I like things like that. Things that can be COUNTED on.

I just cant see a set of 250/200's making 650...Thuglike has a BUNCH of other mods that make use of his amount of fuel(cam, headers, etc....) I think that is the difference here. His motor was built to be efficient. Its not like he stuck a charger and sticks in a stock motor and turned it all up to 10.

Id be happy with 250/200's making 550....

I would say yes without hesitation, as there are many around that power level right now with 200% nozzles. 500ish HP seems to be a good number to pair with a 200% nozzles based on what I've seen.

I think you can push a 250/100 to 500 pretty easily with good tuning... a 200% should get you there without much trial.

The injectors I ran on the last dyno were NOT standard 250/200. They were 375/200 and fuel side modded, the flow chart is pretty remarkable. Its not just a injector you can call up Cass or Swamps and order off the shelf. Its a custom hybrid. Im trying to find the flow chart as we speak to show you guys.

Can someone post up a flow chart for a standard 250/200?

If it won't make 500 with 200% EDM's then something is wrong. I would say 550 is to be expected and 600 the top end to be expected... with some people pulling a bit more.
