Just Google "Dorman 699200". There are a bunch of places to order the accelerator pedal position sensor online.

Well guys I hate to bring back old threads but I still havent been able to solve this one. I replaced the TPS and that seemed to solve the problem for a little while but its back now. I asked some friends and they said to change the cam sensor.. which was really easy to do once I had to replace the water pump unexpectedly.

Anyway it still cuts in and out, not as much when I'm accelerating but it gets pretty bad when I'm trying to maintain speed and it almost always cuts out quickly when I back off the go pedal. I thought I had it narrowed down to the chip being a problem but it does it very subtly without the chip as well. I unhooked the ICP sensor and drove around to no avail.

I'm out of ideas guys....

Thanks

Have you looked into your IPR?

Check the IPR harness connection, and also the nut on the rear of the solenoid portion for looseness.

So I took a quick look because I'm busy with other things but is it just the one electrical connector and then the hex head under that that you would be referring to? The connector looked to be in place but I didn't unhook it and reattach. Before I put a socket on the hex head is it possible to overtighten or what degree of snug-ness am I looking for?

Was the TPS a new one? How did the harness connector look?

Yes it was a new TPS from Dorman. Also the CPS was a new NAPA piece because of my truck being stuck at work at the time with the blown water pump. The connector looked fine from what I can tell.

I looked around under the hood and noticed that the wires going to a connector were rubbing on the drivers side valve cover and had worn through. I used some electrical tape and taped it up so it wouldn't rub but I still have the problem...

The big square connector for the main engine harness? That could be a problem.

Yeah the gray square one... I don't know if I should start taping individual wires or what I should do. Electrical is most definitely not my forte.

Well the truck is going to Ford on Saturday to scan for codes.. I dont have another option as far as that goes. Does anyone know if the tech could take that scanner with him and datalog to see what the problem is while its occuring or will they not do that?

Thanks fellas
